Does anyone who has shot both the 21 and 21SF prefer the 21?  Does the 21SF fit everyone's hand better?

My hands are slightly larger than average.  My 20 doesn't fit back in the web between my thumb and index finger as far as I think it should but I am used to it.  I can't find a nearby range that rents 21SFs.

Thanks for your opinions.

i prefered the SF myself...my hands are med; the 21SF, like any other product, does NOT fit everyone better, in fact, some have noticed no diff or still prefered the old G21––it all depends on the one holding the gun

if you can, rent em; if you cant, at least hold em at a local store and see which one feels better to YOU

While the difference between the G21 and G21 SF may not seem all that dramatic visually, handling the g21SF will prove otherwise. I have small/med hands and the g21 just does not work for me. The G21 SF has made a huge difference being able to get a proper hold on th pistol and has increased trigger reach as well.

I held them side by side in the store recently and I have wide hands and shorter
fingers and both fit me pretty well, the SF maybe just a hair better.

My GF has small hands and she likes the fit of the 21 just fine (hasn't tried the
SF), her first time out of the box firing it and she was on paper no problems
(a lot of guns she can't shoot well because they don't fit).

the 21SF is a little easier for me to hold and i have medium/average size hands.

I'm 5'9" and 180lb and I have a Hogue HandAll on my large frame Glock.  It's not how large your hands are, to me its more about how fat your fingers are.  Mine are a bit thin and I can touch the 1st knuckle of my middle finger with my thumb while holding it.

I have handled a standard 21 and carry a 21SF on duty.  For me the SF made a world of difference.  It feels closer to a 17 or 22 over the standard 21.

I sold my G21 that I owned for 7yrs and purchased a G21SF. I didn't have a problem with the grip on the G21. I just thought it would be better to have the smaller grip.

I agree with whoever said that the are "used" to the 21. I was "used" to it to but the 21SF felt a lot more like my 22. I just sold the 21 and swapped into an SF. I think it was a good swap for me.

On a side note, I think you said that the 20 does not fit you, the 21 and 20 are the same frame so the 21 is not going to fit either.

I tried the 21 years ago.  Way too big for my hand (trigger finger didn't reach well), so I settled for 357 and 40's until now.  No I got a 21 SF.  It fit my hands perfect (medium hands, kinda girlish in size).  It is may favorite pistol and I consider it my go to pistol (all of my Glocks were before, but this one has an emotional attachment now, HaHa).  That little bit they shaved off at the top did wonders for my grip.
