Yup, took the plunge and got a nice Glock 21 with adjustable rear sights. I shot one a few weeks ago and thought it felt really nice. Anyway, this is my first Glock, so just wanted to see if there was anything I needed to do or get, besides ammo and mags, for it. Also, I find the slide lock pretty difficult to operate. I was thinking about getting the factory Glock extended slide stop lever from glockmeister. I assume they must be good. Are they hard to install? Thanks guys.

Well, since I'm first, allow me to vote against anything "extended". Stick with whatcha got, IMO.
One thing you might consider is improving the trigger with a 3-1/2lb connector. This makes the trigger pull much better than the OEM 5 to 5-1/2lb pull they come with from the factory. Here's a link: http://glockparts.com/?mainURL=/store/item/ghbk/Connectors/LWD_Connector_-_3_5lb.html They're SO simple to install even *I* did it................. |

I would agree with not using the extended part most of the time, but they do make it much easier on the 45's and 10mm's. I have installed them on both my 21 and 30. I stuck with the OEM part on the rest of my fleet. |

Not to disrespect Glocks (I love them, especially the Model 19) but I hope you have HUGE hands. That Model 21 is a big un.
I tried to shoot a Model 21 in IPSC competition about 8 years ago, after about 6 months I gave up because my hands were just too small to handle it. I switched to a Para Ordnance P-16/40 and shot much more accurately and faster. |
