I've finally decided to get a glock, but money is a little tight right now so a nice new one is out of the question. Does anyone know where a person could find something in the other category (I.E. - L.E. trade in, rebuilt, or just plain wore the hell out)

thanks all

I think summit gunbroker has some pretty good used ones.

I'd save a bit more and get a brand new pistol.  Much more worth it than buying second or even third hand.

Online: Summitgunbroker or Gunbroker.

Or, your local pawn shop? Got my Gen2 LNIB for $320 OTD, added new ns for $65, so $385 total.

I disagree.  Used Glocks are some of the best values out there on the market.  There is not alot that can be wrong with a Glock that you can't repair yourself, and if it is, you can send it to them for repair.  Usually for only the cost of shipping.

Summit sells excellent used Glocks.  From my dealings with him, I would not have any problem buying a used Glock from him, sight unseen.

Glocks do not wear out, they age with time This G23 has over 30,000 rounds through it.

What do you recommend to a person who has to buy any pistols from a FTF transaction?
Anything to watch out for?

I bought a used third generation G19 last week and couldn't be happier.  Its a really nice shooter and has some very minor holster wear.  I just looked around at the local gun stores and did a bit of haggling.
