Quoted: The Glock 18 and any full-auto Glock conversions are post-86 machineguns. Therefore, they are restricted to law enforcement, military and FFL/SOT.If one is a Class3 owner - are there real GLOCK 18's out there to buy or only 17 conversions to a 18? The FFL/SOT route is the only way a civilian can go about having access to a Glock 18 and/or full-auto Glock conversion. There are nine types of FFLs and seven of those types can be approved for a SOT. The type of FFL and class of SOT you have determines what type of buisness you are in. (For example, a Type 01-FFL / Class 3 SOT can deal in Title 1 & 2 firearms and a Type 07-FFL / Class 2 SOT can manufacture & deal in Title 1 & 2 firearms) Out of the seven types of FFLs, all of them require a law enforcement demonstration letter, requesting the Glock 18, in order to aquire a Glock 18. Out of the seven types of FFLs, only two of them can legally manufacture a full-auto Glock conversion. Once a FFL/SOT decides to gives up their SOT, they must transfer away all the post-86 machineguns in their stock before the SOT is expired. |
