I have the Safariland for my Glock 22 with the Surefire weapon light. What are you going to use it for? For fun, for real (tactical response). If you are LEO and you do patrol, don't wear a thigh rig! lots of rookie officers like that low slung cowboy look, or the ultra tactical look. A thigh rig is exceptionally hard to draw from while sitting in a patrol car. Take it for what it's worth..

I am very pleased with my Safariland. Don't get the nylon stuff like Blackhawk.

I am taking my son on a elk hunt and I wont be carrying a rifle.  The pack I will be using will not let me carry on my side.

You might try one of the platforms that allow you to carry on your chest.

The two best ones I have found are Safariland and Blackhawk.

Blackhawk Serpas', well, you either love them or hate them. I happen to like mine.

Safariland.  I've used the blackhawk nylon's and the serpa thigh rigs and I definately prefer the safariland 6004.
