Well, I'm going to a big gun show on Friday and I'm thinking about bringing my 21 that I never shoot with me to sell. It has approximately 300 rounds through it, it is mint and factory stock. Standard sights. What should I ask for the gun. What's the lowest you would be willing to accept? Thanks for your help! Drew |

They sell for around 500-520 new so you should take that into consideration. A lot of people are willing to pay a mint at gun shows for some reason. So who knows. What part of KY are you in? And where is the show? I am off friday I wouldn't mind hitting up a gun show myself. |

The Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. http://www.machinegunshoot.com/ If you've never been to this, it is a must see, at least once, for a gun enthusiast. It's touted as the largest machine gun shoot in the US (probably in the world -- not sure if other countries would even have this sort of thing). It's fun for a little while to watch others shoot their stuff, but I lose interest after a while since I'm not shooting. The real fun is the gun show going on behind the firing line. Lots of full-autos, military surplus, and regular every day stuff. |

Oh yeah, regarding the price of my 21-- I'm always worried of pricing the used item too close to the price of a new one. As SickMAK pointed out, new ones around me (Northern KY) go for 500-530. I guess I could start at 450. I'm just not a big fan of walking around with a gun and haggling with people about price. I've done it a few times before, but just don't like it all that much. ETA in response to Fat Boy who beat me. Should I start at 425 then? |

Start as high as you want, you never know who will be willing pay what. I am a little confused...Are you going to try to sell it to a dealer or another person walking around the show? If it's a dealer expect a $100 less then the above prices, as they will need to resell it for a profit. We can't sell to other people while @ a gun show up here. If you can, you never know what people are willing to pay not to have to go through a background check and keep it off the books. FB |
