So I'm about to order a Comtac ctac for my G19 and I really don't wanna pay an outrageous price for two mag holders. (Unemployed full time student) Will be for CCW btw. Any recommendations?  If I HAD to pay 25$ a piece I'd probably just get some leather and make my own, but I'd really prefer to just buy two, if I can get them for a reasonable price. Thanks.

Doesn't matter, most people wouldn't see an OWB I think, even if they would they would think its a cellphone holder or pocket knife holster or something like that.

Accepting any and all recommendations, IWB and OWB.

My main concern is price. I spent $500 on the G19, will probably put a trigger job, iron nightsites, new mag release button, the Comtact C-tact IWB holster, mag pouches, a new belt, a class or two (require for permit), and and 3 new mags + ammo.

All this while unemployed . Mainly looking to get a basic class, mags, ammo, holster, and mag pouches right now though, the rest can come later if I still feel I need them.

It's sorta like with holsters:  you get what you pay for.

That said, a mag holder isn't supporting the same amount of weight, etc. etc. so there are some cheaper ones out there that work well.

I have an Uncle Mikes nylon pouch, single, that was around 10-15 bucks or so.  2 of those would work.  I usually use one of those and a Blade-Tech single, it was about 35 though.

Heard good things about the Glock mag pouch, and they're cheap, but I've never tried one.

Or you could use a folding knife sheath if ya got one layin' around.  Some of those work too.

Check with SKD Tactical thru the site here. I picked up a couple of the Ready-Tactical CCW mag pouches. They are very thin kydex or similar material. They hold the mags very close to your body and are available for various belt sizes. I think I paid $20 per, but they are some of the best I've ever used.(Mine are for the 19 as well). Good luck with your search.

25 bucks a pop for Comp tac ones is a steal in my opinion. Like anything gun related you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I went ahead and got two Glock singles. They were only $7.98 a piece from cheaper than dirt. If I decide I don't like them and want to buy better ones in a few months when I've more funds I won't really be out much. Mainly right now I need to get off the ground so I can get those classes out the way and get my permit.

Also picked up three 15 round Glock factory mags for $19.97 each, which doesn't seem too bad IMO. (From Cheaperthandirt).

Placed my C-tac order this morning too... I can't wait.
