I have a question about the guide rod/recoil spring on my G20. This isn't the normal what spring/guide rod should I put in. I bought the gun a few weeks ago, NIB second gen. On the glock barrel there is little semi-circle that the guide rod is supposed to fit in, right? When I work the slide on the gun a few times after properly seating the guide rod, then take the slide off, the guide rod is barely touching that fitted section of the barrel. It's basically hanging on by a few milimeters at most. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the gun? It seems like the guide rod barely hanging on would affect recoil and function in some way. Possible solutions?

Not to worry, its normal.  That semi-circle is there solely for assembly so that you can get the spring assy in the proper position to install your slide on the frame.  Once your slide is on the frame, your recoil assy is floating.
