Just wondering if keeping factory Glock mags loaded will hurt the spring after a while?  Also If factory 30 rnd glock mags will have any problems as well?

I keep them loaded, including my 33 round mag. I believe the cycle of loading and unloading, over and over is what wears the springs out. Springs are cheap too, if one ever does get weak. Don't babie them, Glock mags can take a beating just like the Glock can.

Good post, that is EXACTLY correct.

I keep ALL my Glock mags loaded, all of 'em.  Been doin' this and shootin' through all of 'em for years, never yet had a weak spring issue.

good to know,  I was planning on carrying a few shtf mags in the truck box and will probably keep them loaded for a long long time.

All but the 33 round glock mags are less than $20 a piece.  The springs can be bought in bulk for like a dozen for $30.  Mag springs have come a long way in the last 10 years.  Keep them loaded, check them every 6 months for compression memory and change as needed.  In a pinch, you can restretch the spring out and it will work fine, but after a couple of times restretching it the spring will get brittle.

I have had three glock 22 mags fully loaded for almost five years, have yet to have a fail to feed.

Anyone with "weak" springs you want to get rid of send them to me.  I bought some new G17 mags the other day and they are a PAIN to load.
