A buddy of mine down the street and I have been talking about what if Yo-mana is elected and I suggested that he consider getting a few firearms for himself before anything changes. His kids have 20 gauge shotguns that they got from scouts but he hasn't ever gotten around to getting something for himself. Well, he just walked over to show me his first ever pistol, a brand new G20. He has shot my 10mm some and really likes the power and versatility of the 10mm round. He and his sons are in the Boy Scouts and it turns out that Sportsman's Warehouse gives a 5% discount to the Boy Scouts so he was able to pick it up for only $521!! To celebrate the event, I installed a spare grip plug, LW 3.5# connector, and Comp Trigger Spring from my stash as a welcome to the world of Glock. He has some time off tomorrow so I offered to take him out to our range and treat him to a few of my reloads so he can christen his new baby. He likes the TruGlo TFOs on my G22 and G23 so I see those in his near future as well as mags and a holster and of course, ammo. He has ordered some DT loads so he'll get to enjoy the full power of his new toy when they arrive. In addition, I've also got him interested in reloading and I've shown him how much fun it is as well as how much he can save doing it. I offered to teach him on my 650 and let him make some of his own loads. I didn't get an actual picture of it, however, I understand that "it didn't happen without a picture" so here is a stock picture from Glock's website.  His Glock included the usual Glock box with second mag & mag loader, lock, cleaning rod & brush, and paperwork. The envelope with the 2 cases is still sealed as well as the baggie with the paperwork. The s/n is HFSxxx. In addition, he really likes my RRA Elite CAR A4 middy and I'm telling him that one would make a nice present to himself. He says, "All I'm waiting for is to see how much my bonus is." I'm pumped for him because I'm 'feeling the love' of a new owner of two of the all time great weapons, a Glock 10mm and soon to be an AR! |
| He called me tonight and asked if we could go to my range tomorrow so that he could break his Glock's cherry. I'm proud to support him in this effort so tomorrow at 10:00 we are going out to the range. I'm going to bring some of my 10mm reloads from warm to nuclear and let him try them. I'm sure that he'll come back with a big smile on his face and convinced that he made the right choice. |
