I just thought that I would share with everyone my thoughts on my new G30SF First off I must admit something....I am a "Glockoholic" This is number 10 right now and I have had 6 others. The only .45 Glock I have every had is my G21 (Gen 2) I really enjoyed the G21 and for about 1 1/2 years it was my nightstand gun. I have since gone to a G17 with a M-3 light attached for that duty. Now onto the 30SF.I picked it up off layaway 2 weeks ago. I put 11 rounds through it at my house and then took it to my IDPA match. I broke it in there using Rem UMC (You Must Clean) ammo. Total of 115 rounds there. 0 problems. This past weekend I went with some freinds and put 100 WWB fmj through it. 0 problems. I have also fed it some Black Hills 185 Gold Dot, Fed 230 Hydra Shok, Rem 230 G.S and 1 S&B 230fmj. All with 0 problems. Total stands at 238 rounds now. It is also very accurate. I have not done any bench testing, but do very well with moving and shooting with it which is more important to me then bench accuracy. One drill was shooting at a 6 steel plate rank while retreating. I got all 6 with 8 rounds. That felt pretty good doing that. I have two small areas that I am working through now. Number 1 is the slide stop is still vey stiff, more so then on any other Glock that I have had. It seems to be loosing up some. I have asked my dealer for a Glock extended slide stop lever and he is wenting for the rep to come in. Number two is it still "feels" different the my G19 carry gun. It will become more comfortable once I have carried it for a longer time. I just ordered 500 rounds of Fed HST 230+p for it last night. (Don't tell my wife please!) All in all I am well pleased so far. Now I am looking at my G21 and thinking I might need to trade it in for a G21 SF with the standard Glock rail and single mag release. (Don't tell my wife that either!
