For self defense and fighting, I would use the stock barrel. However if you are going to shoot reloads with lead bullets, or trying to squeeze the last bit of accuracy out, there are aftermarket barrels. Lone Wolf, KKM, Barsto, etc. I think just about all the aftermarket sights are better then the stock glock sights. I have two Lone Wolf barrels - 5" comped for my G21, 6" non-comped for my G20. Both work very well and have not compromised the reliability of either gun. I got the barrels mainly for the better chamber support than the stock barrels, especially for the hot loads I shoot in the G20. I'd have to say there's a marginal increase in accuracy, though the comped barrel on the G21 makes it an even softer shooter. It's great for double taps and quick follow-up shots. Decent prices too - $99. I got an extended slide stop, but it didn't work well for me. Using the two thumbs forward grip, my right thumb would rest right on the slide stop - it was uncomfortable and sometimes I'd unintentionally lock the slide. I love the Hogue hand-all. I have it on all my Glocks. The palm swells and finger grooves fit my hand perfectly. |
