Just wondering.  I've carried an extra mag while carrying my G31, G30, and G21 IWB, for years.  Depends on the time of year for each model.  I haven't seen a mag pouch for IWB, which might be real uncomfortable wearing an IWB Mag pouch and weapon.   They are all outside the belt.  I've carried an extra mag in my center console, extra pocket just floating around, got 1 in my tackle box even.

While in hot weather carrying an extra mag in an Outside the Waistband seems to be a pain.  My T-shirt gets caught on it sometimes, and obviously increases the risk of being noticed.

How many of you guys carry an extra mag in an OWB pouch?  I'm not real concerned about carrying an extra mag, but I do feel a lil naked in a mall with a potential bad guy with an AK.  I'm X-Marine, so maybe I'm a lil cautious.

 What do you guys do?

Someone makes an IWB mag pouch. I forget who, but I've seen it on ARFCOM before.
I carry in an Kydex paddle double mag pouch.

Bianchi makes an IWB mag pouch. I think they call it the Professional or something.

Crossbreed also makes an IWB mag pouch. I use one from time to time and its fairly comfortable. Like anything IWB, its not something you want to wear when its 100+ degrees outside. Otherwise I am carrying my extra mag in my Tek-Lok mag pouch or just thrown in my pocket/console/whatever.

That's what I've been doing for years, too...

The belt straps on the back of mine allow me to wear it vertical or horizontal.

I used to carry in the Gerber pouch all the time. Easy to conceal and no one ever thinks twice about a Gerber in most areas.  Pictured below used to be my daily carry.

I went to a Blackhawk dbl stack mag holder.  Works good.  I don't have a pic of my daily carry now but it's basically the same.  Except a have a bug out bag that rides in my trunk or cargo area everywhere.

I've been doing so ever since I goty my CCW (about 4 years ago). In the hottest weather we have here (occassionally 100 degrees) I always can wear a hawain shirt, or if I'm doing blue coller work a Dickies work shirt 2 sizes to big. Now I got 5.11 covert casual shirts for dressier occassions, but I actually feel that a hawain or dickies shirt concealed better. The 5.11 isn't long enough and feels tapered at the waist.

Galco makes a line of IWB holsters that have a spare mag pouch attached, they look cool but have not tryed them for comfort...

I carry my Glock 26 along with an extra 17 round Glock mag.  I carry my wallet and mag in my right front pocket.  I ride a motorcycle and have worn my wallet in the front pocket for over 40 years.  No one can see the mag because the mag is about the same width and length.

Thanks for the input guys.  I currently use a IWB Comp-Tac Gurkha, with one of there OWB mag pouch for my G31.  I really like it, plus the slip on pouch, and holster is real sweet.  You don’t have to take your belt off is worth it.  I have a Blade-Tech in a box now, lol.  I emailed them to see if they have one for my new room mate, a G30SF.

i actually carry a double mag pouch with 2 G21 mags in it.  I feel good with them. I have a comp-tac mag carrier that is OWB, and i think it is the best, and i rarely notice it, and i've never been noticed with it.

Milt Sparks makes the IPS IWB mag pouch, try wearing  at 7 or 8 o clock position for the bigger dbl stack mags. I wear my G36 that way. Mernickle holsters makes a nice OWB pouch, single and dbl that is angled forward and works good, turn around time is good 3-4 weeks.

My extra mag is carried inside the butt/grip of my XD9SC that is in a Comp-Tac cross draw holster on my non-dominant side.  My G21 is in a Comp-Tac paddle holster at 3 o'clock.  The emergency speed loads are WICKED fast!

Hey King,

No, I just carry an XD9SC as my back-up gun, no spare mags (on my person). I was just being a smartass.

My body shape (using an untucked shirt) gives me the luxury of being able to conceal a large gun(s), so I chose to just put a small sub-compact on my non-dominant side. My perspective is that I have quicker access via either hand if I need a "reload", and when I hop in my car, I have the crossdraw option if required to draw seated and belted in.  As for the heat - well, I'm in Northern Minnesota, so it's only an issue for about 3 weeks of the year!!!!! Sadly.
