I'm looking to get a .40 caliber auto pistol and really want to try a Glock. i have looked at the Glock 22, .40 caliber model. Anybody have any pros/cons about this particular pistol? I really don't know the difference b/t the Glock models...

I have owned several over the years, and its a great pistol. Its a bit big for CCW (I carry a G27 instead), and if you are going into competitive shooting (USPSA, IDPA) you might consider one of the models with a longer slide for a better sight radius. The trigger is typical of a double-action striker fired design... long, heavy and mushy, but it will smooth out a little over time. They are super-reliable - this is their main virtue. The chamber is sloppy, meaning they will eat anything but also the brass can get bulged (only an issue of you reload). The OEM sights suck - get one with metal night sights if you can, or replace the plastic crap sights soonest. They kick a lot more than you expect because they are so light, but nothing unmanageable. The biggest issue I have with mine is the grip angle... I prefer a 1911 grip angle, and so I have modified my grip (see photos below). If you also prefer the 1911 grip angle, then you might prefer to look at the XD40 or the M&P40.

I love the G22. I do not find it to be too large for concealed carry. In fact I carry a G22 or G35 nearly everyday.

They are a great gun!
Fits me like an extension of my hand.  Point and shoot.
A great first Glock!
