| What generation Glock do you guys prefer? |
|
For absolute comfort in a grip, I prefer a Gen 1 G17. Other than that, I like the feel of the Gen 2's, but the equipment rail on the Gen 3's come in handy. So, what would be "perfect" would be a Gen 3 with the finger grooves removed and retextured to feel like a Gen 1. I guess I'm just picky. |
I'd consider that, but since nobody makes a good quality holster to fit an older Glock with an add-on rail, they are useless to me. I thought about an add-on rail for my Beretta, too, but decided against it for the same reason. |
I can't say I'm a "latecomer" to Glocks. I've owned them, off and on, since about 1995. Now, I currently own 10 of them, Gen 1, 2, 2.5 and 3 are represented. |
Thanks for making my point, my first Glock a Gen 1 G17 was purchased in 1986 for $279 (first batch that didn't go to LEOs), my last was 1997, a Gen 2 G30. mike |
Well, I'd like to say that I had a Glock on my hip since 1986, but back in my day in MA, you had to be 18 to get your LTC, and I didn't turn 18 until 1990! Even then, I had to carry one of my father's handguns, since we couldn't buy our own handguns or handgun ammo until we turned 21. Screwed up law, huh? Anyway, I wasn't trying to make your point. Just the opposite. I personally wouldn't call someone who has owned Glocks, even off and on, for the past 13 years a "latecomer". |
