I have a "frame recall"...I mean frame upgrade...G23. I recently sent the frame back for replacement, with a similar serial numbered Austrian frame. Has anyone else done this? How long was turnaround?

I called a couple months ago to ask about how long it would take for a frame replacement for my G26. They told me a few weeks if I didn't care what serial number it had, or up to two months if I wanted to get one with the same serial number with a one after it

So they issue you a replacement with the same number?
I thought each handgun had it's own unique number.

I found a list of serial number ranges on Glocktalk. My gun was purchased in the end of 2001 or early 2002.
