How do these two compare as far as size goes. I have two p226s and am looking at a G19 but I want something that has a bit smaller feel than the 226. Will I get what I am looking for out of the g19? I can see by the deminsion it is a bit smaller, but I guess I am wondering will I notice the difference in size when holding and shooting it? Also NIB G19 with 3 mags and the set accessories for $505, is that a decent deal? |

The G-19 has a shorter grip than the 226. The two have comparable barrel lengths. If you have big hands, the G-19 may be a tad too short for you. But for the average person, the G-19 will work fine. $505 is the going rate for new G-19s. But if you have a Sportsmans Warehouse near by, you might be able to save $10. I have owned a 226 And comparing it to the G-19, I will say the G-19 is the better buy. A G-17 is bassically Glocks compariable pistol to the 226. |

the G19 is smaller (grip length/height) than the p226 (i cant compare em right now b/c i dont have a P226 on hand...but my P229 is ~3/8" taller on the grip length vs my G19) you will notice a difference in the conceability and holding...the good news is that the G19 is usually the right size for most grown hands that G19 for $505 (if OTD) is a fair deal imo...around my area, they usually run ~$500-$525+tax) |
Good, I do have kind of big hands, big enough to palm a men's basketball, but I think it will work for me. The only glocks I have ever shot are the G30 and G22 and the G22 felt really good, but I want a 9mm and something more concealable than the G22. I think I am going to make the plunge. |
