Is it possible to get a new Glock 30 sf frame swapped out for my old G30 frame?  Been thinking about a grip reduction but I'm thinking a new frame would be about the same $$ wise & it won't look all goobered up. Any info?

you can currently do swaps with Glock, they will take your old frame, destroy it, and give you a new one. They may offer this in the future, but at this point in time they are in demand so I doubt that they would be willing/able to do the switch now...maybe in a few months or a year they could do that for you though...doesn't hurt to call and ask. Also, since it's technically a different model they may not do it...but again, give them a call and see.

When they swap frames does the new frame have the old serial number? Or do you end up with a mismatched gun?

IIRC the use the old number and append an extra character to the SN# on the new frame to ID it as a replacement. Pretty sure I read this on Glock FAQ but I dont have the link handy.

Also - recent posters have reported that Glock didnt consider the G21 and the G21SF to be the same weapon and therefore would not "upgrade" a G21 to a G21SF.

Think I'm going w/ a reduction. Just saw a thread that has a guy doing them for $135. price is right & it LOOKS GOOD!

Why not sell it and then buy you a new 30 SF? I bet you could get around 425-450 for it and then buy a new SF for 515 or so.

Just buy a new one.  You know you want it.  Keep the old one as a spare/backup.

I don't know if the sf is worth it. This one works, shoots better than it should. Shoots as good at 5, 12, & 15 yds as my old colt that I have around $2000 in. After 15 yds though the colt wins big time.

Still faster w/ the glock though dammit.
