I am thinking about carrying mine for CCW. REccomendation on changing the mag release to a standard vs extended?. I find the mags eject a little too easy when the release is touched.

Standard controls are best.

There is a forum member here who can tell you a story about me mexican carrying a borrowed 34 with a 20 rd magazine to a Subway in an unnamed state cause I'm paranoid. The one problem with the 24 is the slide can be a bit long if your holster isn't top notch. I looked like I had a tail...

It had an extension. IIRC the good, pinned kind not the cheap kind.

I'd also replace the trigger from a 3.5 pound model. I carry a 34 in the work drawer and sometimes in the car, but I'd feel safer with a 5lb trigger

I heard (you know what that's worth) that the 3.5# connector with the NY1 trigger spring feels nice and brings the pull up to 5 pounds.

IWB & Light..?

I carry a G34 in a Serpa holster which I find is ultra comfortable but would love to see some pics/links as i'm exploring carry options.

While I'm at it might as well throw this out there to everyone.  Any clue which model Safariland 6004/6005 will accommodate a G34 w/SSL-1..?

Be Safe All,

J
