Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered before.  I don't see any info on Glock's site about the 21 SF.  Does the 21SF with standard mag release work with the old mags? Any issues there? Anyone handle this pistol yet and how does it feel to you relative to the regular 21? What is the availability like for the 21SF with standard release right now?

Thanks!

Got it - I'm looking for user impressions as well if anyone has one yet.

We've run one as a rental range gun for a couple months, and I own one myself. The grip is just about perfect for my hands (I find the standard G17/22 grips skinny, and the old 21 too square). They shoot well, feed pretty much any ammo, and are accurate enough. We run a mix of WinClean 185 gr. flat nose, Winchester 230 gr. ball, ICC 155 gr. JHPs, and assorted commercial reloads. If you like Glocks, and the overall size of the gun, it's a winner. FWIW, I sold my Kimber Compact .45 shortly after I got the 21SF, and I don't miss it at all . I have the standard Glock rail on mine. Holstered in a Blackhawk EPH holster. Waiting on some Novak sights.

eta; those mags are huge...
