I have a +P+ 100 gr 9mm round that I like to fire out of my 3'rd gen 17, but someone told me the first and seconds can't handle that hot of a load. Is there any truth to this?

Don't know about Gen 1, but my Gen 2 9mm glocks have easitly handled the +p+ factory loads (Speer and Federal)

My first gen is still going strong, has shot hundreds of corbon 115 +P+, probably a 1000 +P+ overall, and about 50,000 normal rounds.

Thanks for the info. That really is a relief to hear from people who have the experience.
