I have a 17 and wanted to know if a 19 would fit in the same holster ok or if I would have to get a new holster for it.

will work fine, you'll just have a bit of unused space in the bottom of the holster. they sell a bottomless version of this holster for this specific reason, to use 19,17,34 all in same holster. but your 17 holster will work fine for the 19
