What can I do to help my Glock trigger to make it better?

I have a used G 27 with unknown round count and the trigger just stacks horrifically.

I use this for CCW so it needs to be something that is defendable. I just want the trigger smoother and easier to shoot. The way it is now is really messing me up.

I was thinking Ghost 5# tactical connector with a factory 5# spring.

Opinions/experience wanted.

thanks

Unless you accidentally shoot somebody, then you won't have to worry about "defensible"!!

Do a search for the "$.25 trigger job".  It's easy and just takes a few minutes.  I use a Dremel on low speed, with the cylindrical polishing attachment and Simichrome polish.

I also use 3.5# connectors in all my Glocks, including my carry G26.  My Glocks' triggers pull from just over 3# to around 4#...plenty heavy enough for me.

I prefer the Lonewolf Distributors connector, but the Scherer is also a lot "crisper" than the factory Glock 3.5# (they now call it a 4#) connector.

The most likely cause of the stacking you describe is simply dirt and lack of lubrication.  Or just a lack of lubrication.  Put one drop of gun oil, where the connector meets the birds beak part of the trigger bar.  It shows you the general area right in the owners manual.

No need to spend money changing parts, and no "defense" worries.  Although, I think that is more of a myth than anything.

Look at the lightning strikes safety plunger; the more rounded contour helps a smoother, more consistent feeling pull. I put one in my Glock and I can notice a better feel. It took away the "staged feeling" the factory plunger creates.

The Ghost Rocket with over-travel stop is worth the money.
