Do you like it? I have 2 1911's and a Glock 34 and have thought about either a Glock 19 or 36 as a BUG.........or a S&W 642 since I have a GP-100..........do you think the 36 is a good BUG?

what do you carry?  I would go g26 or g19 if bug for g34.  the 26 would be great for that if you actually carry two on you.

I alternate between the 1911s and the GP-100 in my car.........I havent started carrying due to the fact that all my guns are full size, but that will change once I get a good holster for them

+1

i'd rather consider the G26 for a BUG over the G36, for several reasons, including: its shorter, more compact, eventhough it is a tad fatter; higher cap, same mags as your G34

I just went through the decision on which to buy G36, or G26.  I shot a buddies 36 and I liked it just fine.  Shot great and felt good in the hand.  I wound up buying the G26 simply because it was smaller, and held more rounds.  I am happy with my decision, but the 36 was a fine gun.

I have two G21s and a G17 - I'm thinking about trading the G17 for a G36.

What do you think?

I don't see the G36 being used as a BUG... The G26 has a slightly shorter barrel and uses a flat mag base, and it would be compatible with your other mags.

In your case, I would go with the G26, unless you planned on carrying the BUG as a primary... Which would make either one a good choice. But in that case, I think you would be better suited to a G19.

H20,

If it fits you and you like it, go for it.
The G36 is a great pistol.
