| i sold a g19 recently. i needed the money. i also bought a sig 229 that i already dont want and i havent even picked it up yet. i have a wilson combat i'll never get rid of. my dilemma-i seriously want a glock. do i get one in .45 so i only have to buy one caliber? i live in new york and drop free preban mags are pretty impossible to find so 9mm is a pain in the ass as well as .40. otherwise it's 10 rounders. if it's got to be 10 rounders the caliber better be good. i have really small hands so a glock .45 is difficult. which glock should i settle on. a g37 fits good but ammo is scarce(i know i used to have one of them too). i would be selling the sig and buying a used glock , or trading. |

With small hands, I'd stay away from the .45acp Glock. I have large hands, and the G20/21 is the largest I could deal with. I was just at a gunshow today here in MA and I bought several pre-ban NFML Glock mags from a NY dealer who said they were too much of a PIA to sell in NY. I got G20 and 21 like new NFML mags for $20 each. I bought every one of them he had. If you want a .45, I'd say to go with the GAP, or maybe the G21SF. |
| i would without a doubt buy a g17 or g34 or even buy a g19 again. its just hard finding drop free prebans. i have 4 preban g17 mags but they have to be pulled out of the gun. they do not drop free. i hate that. a g17 is what i would go after if 9mm mags were no issue |
| no. it's got the thin sig trigger with the srt set up. sigs usually have that fat trigger. it was replaced. a police officer owned before me and just sent it to sig , had the trigger done and had new springs put in . the sig is in .40 s&w. i should have been more clear. sorry |
If you live in NY, call Collector Rifle and Ammo, and talk to them, they have better prices on ammo than anyone online or otherwise. The .45 GAP ammo will be easier to get as time goes on especially in NY as the NYSP recently changed to the .45 GAP. |
