If I purchase a used Glock, does the warranty still cover my weapon? Any disadvantages to purchasing used Glocks? I have started looking at my local pawn shops, so its not off some shady character in an alley.

It's a Glock...buy used with confidence!  From what I hear, Glocks customer service is great, they'll take care of you if you ever have issues.  I just bought a used G19 GenII and it works great.

on paper, i dont think that glock is suppose to cover it...h/w, they do in actuallity

i bought one of my older G19s used and i sent it back to glock for some work/upgrades

100% great customer service, pretty fast turnaround (2 1/2 weeks), AND when i called for an update, they were very accomidating

i'd highly recommend glock's service

i've bought all of my glocks used; never any problems

If you get a GREAT deal from a pawn shop, then jump on it.  I've always preferred to buy used Glocks in private sales.  No sales tax, etc.  Haven't been disappointed yet.

Glock will fix any Glock ever made, forever, free, assuming faulty parts.

As others stated, you can buy with confidence.

But they missed a major point.  Aside from a cracked frame (which Glock will replace free from what I've heard) every other part on the gun you can buy cheap (except the barrel which runs around $80-100) and replace yourself.  And Glocks are so easy to work  on and so simple with a very small number of parts.

I bought my G22 used from a pawn shop, and its so good its BORING!!! I like to tinker with and improve upon and I have to say, I can't find anything to improve. Its that good. The only thing this piece needs is more mags and more ammo!

You can buy new Glocks?  I've never done that before!

All of the Glocks I own or have owned, including 2 G19's, 3 G17's, 3 G22's, 1 G21 and 1 G23, were bought used, and all but two of them were LEO trade-ins.  I've never had a problem with any of them at all, even my late-80's production 1st Gen G17 ex-PD pistol that looks like it took one or two trips skipping down the sidewalk.  That's the pistol I usually use for any training classes I take or teach.

Personally, I think Glocks are ugly and have no real style to them.  But, the damn things work all the time, lubed or dry, clean or dirty, used or new.

That's nothing compared to my S&W auto collection!  Right now, I only own five Glocks, a 1st and 2nd Gen G17, 2nd Gen G19, 2nd Gen G21, 2nd Gen G22.  I like them all, but the G21 is a little large, even with my huge hands.  I'm trading into a full-size HK USP .45 next week, and that will probably result in the G21 seeing even less use.  After the M&P .45 is considered MA "compiant", I'll probably totally forget that I own the G21!

I own three Glocks. All of them were purchased used, no problems. One thing great about Glocks,  the replacement parts are truly drop-in. I have installed an extended slide lock, extended slide stop, and transfer bar. All the parts dropped in with no fileing or tweeking. So if you do have to replace a part, it's no problem. The parts for Glocks are very reasonably priced also.
