| Can I get a drop in 3.5 pound trigger kit for the G21? If so where is a good place to start? |

The part you need is extremely easy to install. You will need a 3.5lb connector. They are available from Lone Wolf Dist. Glock, Ghost, Scherer(sp?), etc. make them. They run from $15.00 on up to about $30.00. The Ghost connectors are offered in a standard "drop in" model, and one that requires some fitting. The standard one isn't bad. You need to become comfortable detail stripping your pistol. There is a Glock branded tool (also available from Lone Wolf) that is very handy to use in pushing out the pins that hold the relevant parts in your lower receiver. It is very difficult to mess this up, so don't worry too much about taking the Glock lower apart. Note where the spring rests that operates the slide lock. That is probably the only trouble area you might have in reassembly. The connector itself is an "L" shaped piece of metal. It is not very inspiring to look at. The trigger pull with a standard 3.5lb connector will be lighter, but will feature all the same mush and kersprong it originally had. Don't expect it to magically become a crisp 3.5lb pull. Enjoy! |

You don't need to go anywhere near the slide lock, in order to replace that connector. You do need to remove the slide stop lever. Take the top pin out first, then remove the trigger pin, left-to-right, as you jiggle the slide stop lever fore-and-aft. Remove the trigger housing pin (in the grip). Pop out the locking block, then the trigger housing/trigger bar assembly. When you reassemble, replace the top pin first, then the trigger pin, right-to-left, again, jiggling the slide stop lever fore-and-aft, in order to seat the pin. Instructions about disassembling the trigger housing/trigger bar/connector are found on glockmeister.com. It's a five-minute job. |
