I have a mag ext made by Shearer, but I have a problem with it. When I load the full 17 rounds of 10mm, when I remove the rounds the mag follower stays stuck midway and the remainder of the rounds just fall out, and I have to disassemble the mag to get the follower unstuck. Anyone else have this problem?

Now you know why Glock never made 10mm/.45ACP +2s for their mags.  It's called "spring foldover."

Sounds like a simple fix...the spring needs to be a bit stiffer..instead of 10% maybe 20%
My mags are 15 rounds with no steel lining...their ad says they need to be steel lined...maybe thats part of the problem

Your mags are steel lined, if they're Glock factory mags.  They might be lined on only three sides (NFML), but I guarantee you they're steel lined.  You could put a 40% stronger spring in that mag and it wouldn't do anything except make loading the mag harder.

The springs need to be wider, not stronger.  Some aftermarket extension manufacturers (Gram's comes to mind) design and produce wider springs for their 10mm/.45ACP Glock mag extensions.  Gram's also uses a modified follower.

Im still not convinced mine are full metal lined. On every site Ive looked at a point is made that the user needs "preban full metal lined magazines" Mine of course are post ban high capacity....Ive also seen reviews and they seem to work for others, so I am at a loss.
I looked for Grams and I cant find anything on them. The only 2 manufacturers are Pearce and Scherer

If the cutout on the top rear of the mag is squarish, then you have a fully-metal-lined mag.  If it's a semi-circle, then you have NFML, which are lined on the back and sides, but not the front.

Ok thanks I'll give them a look...its not really that big of a deal I only bought one, but its just bugging me. Upon experimentation however it seems to work much better with the original spring!

I have replaced the Scherer spring with the stock spring, and have loaded/unloaded the mag now about 25 times without having the follower get stuck, so I'll take it out and run a few dozen rounds through and see if if jams up again.
I do kinda like the plus 5 that Reaganstein sent me a link to

Please tell me that you're not using a Scherer mag?  Where'd you get that Scherer spring?  Scherer mags are less-than-worthless.

No...its just the ext and my oem Glock spring.  The mags are Glock oem as well. I got my mags cheap from Botac for 13 bucks....saw that on here somewhere.

If you got the mags recently, then they're definitely fully-metal-lined.  Glock hasn't made NFML mags for a really long time.

Yeah I believe they are....I might get that mag ext you steered me towards...its a bit larger  +5, but it looks interesting. 20 rounds of 10mm on tap...thats a bit of firepower!

I'm using a Gram's +5 on a G21 mag.  Works well.   Although I haven't tried the Arredondo extensions, they get great reviews; used by lots of competitors.  I'd suggest tha you call Lonewolf Distributors and talk with either Dan or JR.  They know their stuff!
