So I ordered a Glock 23 last week and it came in today... sort of. My exact order: G23 with Glock Night Sights and 2X13 round magazines. What I get: G23 with Adjustable Sights and 2X10 round magazines. 1st mistake - Gun shop dude orders AS model instead of GNS model with 13 round mags. 2nd mistake - Supplier ships G23 with 10 round mags instead of 13 round mags. 3rd mistake (The Kicker) - Glock packages fired casings from serial number XXX-X29. My gun has serial stampings of XXX-X28. After all the screw ups, I'm amazed that the gun that came didn't have an OD frame and that the case has the Glock logo instead of Beretta. So does this happen a lot or is it just me? Anyway, our work around solution was to exchange the 10 round mags for 13s, discount the firearm due to lack of night sights, and keep the gun since the serial number is already in my name and I because love the gun that came. I think I will just order Trijicon night sights later and have the shop install them free of charge. Update - So after noticing the difference in serial numbers, I called up the gun shop that sold it to me and they did in fact put the wrong serial (Sticker on gun case read xxx-x29 as well) under my name. They said they'd change it when I bring the gun in to pick up my new mags. Sheesh. |
| I accepted it because I prefer trijicons over glock night sights anyway and none of the suppliers had trijicons in stock. No big deal for me to get the trijicons put on later. I got a great price on the gun as well. I just wish I had noticed that the serials were incorrect on the gun a little sooner. |
Wow if my distributors made mistakes like that i would have new distributors. GNS sucks anyway. You did yourself a favor. We did get in a glock from glock had two different numbers on it. Slide said one and frame had another. That was a first.ETA : damn broke 6000 . I need a hobby.  J |
