OK, I know this was discussed here and on Glocktalk, but I can't find the thread here and ColoradoGlocker apparently left Glocktalk and deleted his threads so its not over there anymore. How do you put one together? What was the extractor issue? Was Caspian arms going to make a run of G20 longslides or was it Lone Wolf? I probaly just got myself "tossed" over there with a comment about the drama between the owner and members and the numerous tiffs. |

Steve posts on 10mmtalkforum. There's a discusson of his "G20" longslide over there. The extractor issue occurs mostly with standard G21 slides, when outfitted with the 10mm conversion barrel. A G20 extractor won't work in a G21 slide. The G21 extractors don't offer sufficient extractor tension in order to be reliable. For some reason, the German-made G21 longslides seem to be more reliable than the factory Glock slides, when used with the conversion barrels. |
| I dont believe anyone is making longslides anymore,I've seen a few used ones forsale over at GT every now and then.My G20ls been running well,my only issue was when I first began to shoot it I had some FTE cases ,and I changed over to the LCI extractor and have had no problems since then. |
And I post here too. BTW, Tamron's post above is spot on.
I can't tell you how I know, but there is hope on the horizon. Not as soon as most would like, but in the not-to-distant future. As for GlockTalk, The tone on GT changed in the last year or so and the new version got to be too much for me. Erik seems to be too tied to some of his advertisers and lets them run their mouths and intimidate the younger guys. That really frosts me and when I'd call them on it I'd get an email from Erik defending them. GT was great fun for a long time and I miss the way it was. So, one day I decided that I'd had enough, deleted my posts, and wished everyone a Good Day. Coloradoglocker (alias: Steve) |
