Hi all, I have a question on a G23. I've praticed on my G19C and now I want to step up to another level and I'm thinking about purchase G23 for CCW. How much different between the G19C and G23? More recoil? hard to control? Or should I get a G23C for CCW? any input would be appreciated. thanks in advance. |

By step up to another level, you mean caliber, right? If you can get good solid hits with your 19C, continue to carry that. So long as you carry quality defensive ammo with your 19C, There's not a significant difference, IMO. See if you can rent one at a local range or borrow a G23 to try out. Great thing is, you should be able to use all the same concealment gear if you decide that's better. Some people shoot the .40 better than the 9mm. Everyone is different. |

Although the .40 looks better on paper than a 9mm, I find that in my hands at least the 9mm looks much better on the kind of paper that matters most...target paper! If you need more muscle than a 9mm+P+, get a 10mm or 45acp. They both will outshoot a .40 both on paper and on the street. Ignore what you may have read in the gun magazines about the 10mm's "Brutal Recoil" The guys who wrote these articles take bubble baths, drink wine coolers and listen to Elton John CD's |
