Got my new G39 this week, getting issued a G37 so it's nice to keep the backup/ off duty gun similar. Hate to admit it, especially because I was a devotee of the ACP and did not see a reason for the GAP, I love it. It shoots straight as a laser with felt recoil just above that of the G17. Hides well as would be expected and with a +1 has adequate ammunition capacity. God I hate it when I'm proven wrong. BTW the duty load is Speer 200 gr. Gold Dot.

I saw that the NYSP and I think Georgia's State police are getting them. Maybe 45gap will be saved from being expensive and hard to find.

I have to admit that I laughed in surprise when the Glock rep at the Shot Show told me what it was the first year they introduced it, but I am not sure it is such a bad idea.

How many rounds does the 39 hold? That's the little one, right?

As you know who I am, I can also tell you that the Pennsylvania SP are transitioning also to the GAP. The 39 is the sub-compact, it holds 6+1 in original guise.  The Glock +2 adds one round and a finger hold. Dude the thing really is laser accurate.

ACP traditionalists don't like it, but the GAP does make sense.

Hell, the ammo isn't even really expensive anymore. The last I saw was Fed FMJ for $175/500. the same place had ACP for $169/500.
