what is it going to be used for--SD/HD, racing, target, etc?

they do help w/ the muzzle flip/recoil, but overall, i'd just stick w/ the regular ones

I have a 31c and the ports do help with muzzle flip, but it makes the weapon louder. Don't sweat the muzzle blast upwards it is a none issue that alot of people say is dangerous. Revolvers would never be purchased if people made a big deal out of the blast that comes from a gun. Get one and out shoot the peckawoods without a compensator.

Get the C, If it doesn't make you happy you can order a standard barrel (100 bucks or so) and disable the thing when you want to. I do hear that it is a pain to keep nite sites clean enough to see on a C model.

I have a couple of 21's, a 30, a 27 and just got a 23C (all w/mepros).  I really like this 23C.  I didn't experience any concerns with it after its first 400 rounds (shooting or cleaning).
