I just got me a new glock 20 this morning and my ? is while playing with it after manualy cycling it even once and then removing the slide the guide rod and spring are no longer seated on the barrel and one time I noticed when the gun was together and I held the slide back the guide rod was angled up almost touching the barrel I have a g22 and I have never noticed anything like this with it what do I need to do or is this normal also 1 time when I pulled the slide back it hesitated almost like it was stuck a little.

The guide rod not setting in the barrel notch is normal as the rod does not set their when shooting. It is for installing the slide only. Make sure you seat it all the way in the notch before you reinstall the slide. You can break(chip) the rod and it will also cause the slide to hang when you install the slide without it seated.

I think the time it felt it stick was when I noticed the end of the guide rod was almost touching the barrel.
