| Ok so I want a trigger job.. whatcha guys recommend ? I want something to stop over travel and lessen recoil + give me a better pull and guard against accidental discharge. |
|
Nothing that you do to the trigger is going to lessen recoil! Have you ever fired a semi-auto before? Do you have a general knowledge of how they work? Making the trigger lighter, with less overtravel, sure won't lessen the possibility of a negligent discharge, either. If you want a better trigger, go to glocktalk.com and do a search for the "$.25 trigger job." Install either a Ghost Ultimate or Scherer 3.5# connector. Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire. You can control the overtravel with the Lonewolf Distributors trigger housing with overtravel adjustment screw. |
|
The 3.5# connector won't help you with the overtravel; it'll just make the pull lighter. The Lonewolf housing features a setscrew that engages the trigger bar and controls the amount of overtravel. The Ghost Rocket connector also limits the overtravel, but it's not adjustable. I've done a lot of polishing on Glocks. Have yet to see overtravel eliminated by polishing. |

Either of the 2 parts will eliminate over travel, DON"T try and use them together. The Rocket requires some knowledge of how the gun works, fitting can ruin the connector but Ghost will replace it free if that happens. The Lone Wolf Trigger Stop is much easer for a novice and requires no fitting, just replacing the trigger mechanism housing. HERE is the one thing that IF you use it will help prevent an ND. Your stuck with recoil. |
Get the #3.5 connector(not the rocket) and the Lone Wolf trigger housing. Together both will improve the trigger feel and help eliminate over travel. |
