I am seriously considering buying either a G34 or G35 for competition shooting (IDPA SSP and USPSA Production/Limited). I currently shoot a G19 but would like a dedicated competition pistol with a longer sight radius and a larger grip surface. Right now I really prefer to shoot 9mm over .40SW due to cost. .40SW is considered to be a big advantage in the USPSA Limited scoring system, so I am considering getting the G35 and a 9mm conversion barrel so I could use either caliber (AFAIK you can't squeeze a .40SW conversion barrel into a G34). Does anyone have any experience with conversion barrels (such as www.topglock.com/catalog/barrels_stormlake.htm)? Do they require other parts to be swapped out? Are they reliable enough for match shooting? |

You are correct about putting a 40 barrel in a G34. I would get the barrel from Lone Wolf because I've seen to many problems with the SL barrels that they won't warranty(I see they have change policy again). |
