[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Glock 19 Mag release

I am looking for a replacement mag release for more tactical quicker mag swaps. I know on my beretta the release is out just a little further out and I only have to push with just the pad of my thumb but with my Glock 19 I have to give it more preasure and push with more of the tip of my thumb. Does anyone know where I could upgrade this and if its even possible to mod

I have one of these on my G17 which makes releasing the mag a bit easier compared to the stock release on my G19.

IME, using the Glock extended mag catches I almost always dropped at least one magazine by accident every time I went to the range. So any I had got swapped back to standard. I would learn to use the standard one better, or one failure to grip the gun just right with the extended and you have an empty gun. Just my $0.02.

Thanks, Yeah I thought about that as well That was my concern. its not that I cant swap mags quickly enough now it just seemed like I could swap it faster with my beretta.

Typical release pressure is about #5. I have modified the factory catch for a few people with arthritis to where they release at about #3.5 and it is a noticeable difference. I will check as I might still have one in my spare parts.
