I'll be getting a Glock soon as some of you glock forum regulars may know and I'm left handed.  I was looking at the rounded mag release on Glock's site and was planning to install that with the extended slide release.  Has anyone installed something like this on their own and how hard was it?  Glock's site mentions that they need to do fitting to the frame for that mag release.  Does this mean a gunsmith or myself would need to remove frame material?  Are there any other alternatives that would be easier?  If you guys have a link to a site that sells some Glock accessories that don't require gunsmithing it would be great!  Thanks all for your help!

The factory oversized mag catch is only available in Europe.

AroTek has made one(see photo below) for years and if you are handy with a dremel you can install it or send your receiver to them and they will do it. You do need to remove part of the receiver so it will fit. I have done several, they are VERY nice and I'm getting ready to do several more. A friend made a tool so they can be installed easier(I purchased one) and they work super. A couple of companies make a 2 piece mag catch that drops-in but I never liked them because they can catch on loose fitting clothing.

Edit:
Available in black or chrome

Thanks for the heads up.  That looks a lot more comfy for my left hand than the sharp square that's stock .  Also, do you know if the $59 on their site that it's listed at includes installation?  I all ready emailed them but if you knew that would be great.

Yes, the cost includes the install and IIRC return shipping.

Nice.  I appreciate it and I'd probably wait until I can afford to get some of their night sites put on too...maybe even their fancy little ghost ring.
