What kind of leather holster would be good to carry a Glock 29 in? I would like to either have a paddle or belt without a strap as I have the laser site on it. I just got the glock and hate to buy a chest load of holsters. If I had a local store with a good selection so I could try one for fit and feel it would be easier. Also have any of you tried ankle carry on one of these? Is it too large?  Thanks

I think the 29 is a little on the large size for ankle carry.  I carry mine with a Comtac CTAC holster, it isn't leather but is really nice.  I used to think that plastic holsters sucked until I got my CTAC.  Another option would be to look at Milt Sparks Versamax or the Watch Six.

I also use a Comp-tac for my G29. I would think that they would be too large for ankle carry. However, I just picked up a shoulder holster for it and I have used it once. I found it concealed well and was reasonably comfortable. I would also recommend giving the C-tac a try. I usually carry tucked in with that setup.

I'll throw in on the Comp-tac c-tac.  Very comfortable and conceals very well.

I carry mine in a Sparks VMII and its wondorous.

If you're not up to the Sparks wait...you can sometimes get one quicker for a small price premium through an outfit like lighting arms.

Also, I came across a link to this maker the other day...  http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/... who has a VMII knock off that looks very servicable.   Never done business with them but I like the look of their product.

I presently use a Comp Tac also. Great holster.
Though I would like to try the Sparks.
