I'm looking to buy a G26 and was wondering if I should look for one with Glock night sights already installed.....or if I should go with an aftermarket night sight.  Anyone have a strong feeling one way or the other?

Get the G26 then get a set of Meprolight NS. The factory stake on NS can be very troublesome.

After I bought my Glock 22 I sent the slide off to Trijicon to have a pair of their night sights installed. I was very pleased with their product. They're bright, and they work great. Trijicon's customer service was awesome, too.

Get the aftermarket sights.  The staked on factory front nightsight on my 26 came loose after about 500 rounds.  Screwed on trijicon on my old 23 was rock solid through several thousand rounds.

Now, since my local Glock armorer fixed the front sight on my 26 it has also been rock solid for another 5000+ rounds.  If I had it to do over again though, I would have gotten aftermarket night sights installed.

I have a G26 that I use as a off-duty carry gun I installed a set of Ameriglo sights. The front blade is green and the rear sight is of the slanted variety with yellow dots. The front sight blade is a screw in type.Nice contrast with the yellow rear dots.

Are there any opinions on the Heinie Straight 8 night sights? I am on the fence between the Heinie, and Meprolights. Is one better than the other as far as ruggedness, sight picture, ect.? The Meprolights cost less, but thats not a major concern.

Glad i found this thread before i bought my next glock, the 19, with factory night sights. Now i just have to decide between meprolight and trijicon tritium sights. I now for sure that I want the front sight green and the back sight another color that is not so bright(yellow?). I am also sure that i want to eliminate "snag free" sights from my choices to aid in one handed operation.

I orinally was going to go with truglo fiber optic/tritium comob sights but have heard that their quality control is not so great.

The factory Glock sights are okay, but if given the choice, I would get the Meprolights or Trijicons.

I have a G26, G38 and G21C all with aftermarket Meprolights.  I have never had any problems with them.

Henie 8s are VERY nice. I'm waiting on delivery of my G19 with Trijicons. I got a great deal so there wasn't much decision making on my part. I considered TFOs but they are big compared to other sights and there's a lot of talk of poorly fitting rear sights. I don't think you would have trouble with the Glock night sights though there are some cases of problems. If it was such a huge problem, Glock would have fixed it by now IMHO.

Glock's night sights aren't that great.  I'd suggest putting that money towards Ameriglo Operators, Heinie Straight 8s, or Warren Tactical Sevigny Carry night sights.

Meprolight and Trijicon are old news, take a look at the Truglo TFO's.  They're bright as hell and I'll be changing over from my Trijicons soon, as the front one has gone Tango Uniform on me.

My issued Glock 22, my personal 26 have Trijicons.  They work great for me.

My brother had a set of Meprolights installed on my Glock 17.  I don't use that gun but they work great.

I don't think you'd go wrong with either.

I have heard that if you happen to get a good set of TFO they are great! IF.........I have heard that their quality control is not so good and people have been losing tritium tubes due to bad desgin or craftsmanship

The G21 I have came with Glock marked night sights, they are not as nice as the Trijicons or Meps.

The vials are not even centered in the white circle, they are to the top of the circle.

My recently acquired CDNN G19 also has Trijicons which are stamped H3 02.  I tried them out last night and they still have a nice glow to them.

I don't know...I have Glock Nights sights. I walk into to the dark... I see green lights. What more do you need?

I have the low profile trijicons and really like them.  Especially if you're going to carry concealed.

Check out the Tru Glow TFO sights, I just got a set for my 21 and they are almost as bright at night as they are during the day.
Transition from light to dark and the sights seem to not change, they just glow.

It's really about which sights suit you the best, of course I'd take into consideration any sights that have a bad reputation for not fitting, etc.  Don't worry about the lamps, they are all made by Trijicon, or at least that's what Phil Goldsmith told me at the Glock Armorer, Instructor courses.
