Hey guys,

I've lately been thinking of picking up a G35, I rented one and liked it quite a bit more than the G22. I like the longer sight radius and reduced muzzle flip, but I see that the model 24 is even longer. Is the model 24 still available (haven't seen one in a shop in at least a few years)? If so, any pros and cons vs. the 35? I'm not planning on using it for idpa/ipsc; just as defense in the house and open carry on occasion, so obviously concealability is not a factor (have a G27 for that).

In other words- if you prefer one to the other, why? Thanks in advance,

Glock stopped producing the G17L and the G24 in '99. Glock did a small run of 1,500ea last year. You can still find some of the G24 NIB. I owned a G17L(I miss that Glock) years ago and purchased a G24 when they were introduced. I have a G35 also but for some reason I just like the G24 a little better. Maybe because you don't see them that often.

Is 1500 a total run for the 24's for last year? Does this include the 24c's? I've got the newer 24c and it shoots like a a house of fire.

IIRC it was:
1,500 = G17L
1,500 = G24
1,000 = G24C

I would have to check to be sure but I know that is close.

Thanks for the replies guys, couple more questions:

Is there a noticeable difference in muzzle flip between the 24 and 35? Does the little bit extra sight radius on the 24 seem to help your accuracy?

Seems the pics I've seen show the 24 to not have the accessory rails; is this true of the latest 24s as well? Not a real big deal to me, just curious.

Thanks again for all the replies everyone.
Nate

Edit: I also forgot to ask if the 24 comes with the extended slide release and 3.5 trigger like the 35 does. Thnx

1st Question  - I think so -
2nd - My 3rd Gen. 24C has got accessory rail.
3rd - Yes on extended slide release & yes on the 3.5 lbs trigger -

My opinion on my 24C - It flat out shoots

The above pic is my 2nd gen, they don't have the finger grooves or rail. The 3rd gen have the FGR.

Thank you so much for the replies guys! I think I'll try to track down a 24. 35s are easy to get anyway, so I might as well work on a 24 first. This is why I love this site.
