I have a Glock 17, 1st generation that is shooting 4" low. What can I do? Fixxed rear sight. Thanks

shoot 4" high

Edited for a real answer:

quit flinching

If you're able to confirm beyond any doubt that it's actually shooting low:

1: shave the front sight to get it back - probably a bad idea
2: sent it to a glock armour
3: if that isn't available - send it back to Glock

I wanted to, but I can't improve on that

I've found every glock that I've shot to shoot to point of aim. Those hitting low are generaly error by the operator not used to the trigger. YMMV

Let other people shoot it...people who are used to glocks.
See if it shoots low for them.

Generally speaking you're jerking the trigger or not properly aligning the sights. Trust me I have done it all, sometimes at the same time

My G19 is dead on center. Another guy shot it too and was also low?? I know I'm not flinching.

You lost me, someone else shot it and it was also shooting low? Try having your buddy load some dummy rounds in with live rounds without you seeing what order they are in, or have him either put a round in the chamber, or not, without you looking then hand you the pistol (safely of course0 No peeking at the loaded chamber indicator.

What I did was hold the pistol with sand bags under neath so I would have a steady platform to fire from. If I'm hitting dead center with my G19 why would I not with the G17?  I on't understand. My Sig 220 dead center, my M9 dead center Ruger Vaquero .45LC, why would I flinch on the G17??? I will put dummies in but I a, certain it is not me.

My buddy is no pistol shooter but he was low and all over the bottom, I was low and dead center with a tight group?? I was also shooting Winchester white box which I have never had a proplem with.

I have been to good military schools to learn to shoot so I am not new to handguns.

I forgot to mention it is a police trade in.

Damned if I know, I'm not exactly a great pistol shot. I guess it could be messed up, are the stock Glock sights on it? Maybe it has a different trigger pull than your other Glock. I'm not really the best person to diagnose this, I have to admit.

He is telling you to practice more, and when you get use to it, do more practice.
