I considered one, it's pretty fat so I decided to get a 23 instead.

Yes,

It's a tad heavy for lite summer wear. But not unbearable.

It is bulky so you need to pick you holster very carefully (it'll add even more bulk).

You WILL need a good leather belt if you do carry, I killed 2 cheapie belts before I broke down a bought a quality gun-leather belt.

It conceals just fine, least it does with me.

I run a Milt Sparks VMII with it now, I really like the Comp Tac CTAC I use with my G19. I'm going to try that and see how much bulk I can reduce.

The Glock 30 is an awesome carry piece.....I'm currently carry mine in a Comp-tac pro-undercover carry it over my appendix.  I need to lose a few pounds to make 3-4 o'clock carry comfortable

I also just won a quality OWB on Ebay and plan on trying that for the winter.

It is one of the nicest shooting .45ACP's out there, my wife even prefers it to here Glock 19 and she's got tiny hands.

+1, I purchased a 30 for carry and then the 36 came out.  The 30 hasn't been out since and the 36 goes wherever I go.  Easily concealed in t-shirt and shorts.

I have a G30 and find it a little fat.  It's not the most comfortable piece, but it's very bearable.  I chose the 30 over the 36 for mag capacity.

+1

recoil is smooth and very controlable; its a tad fat, but w/ the right holster and big pants, its great for CCW

Good point, I just carry another mag in the cargo pocket of my shorts.  I have all the Glock .45 and the 36 is my favorite.  The only advantage for the 30 in my opinion is that it will take the 21 magazines, so you can carry 21 mag as a backup.  The weight and bulk lead me to carry the 36 in the summer and 21 or 19 in the winter.

I've been carrying a G30 with a spare mag for about 9 years.

Currently, I appendix carry my G30 in a modified Comp-Tac Pro-Undercover.

Appendix carry works well for me and I can comfortably carry this way for for long periods of time, YMMV...

I also have a Comp-Tac Gurkha which I carry right behind my right hip.  I've used this holster or several years and to me it's so comfortable that it's easy to forget that I'm carrying.  The Gurkha als conceals the G30 really well too.

While the G30 is thicker than the 9mm models it's actually only .09 of an inch thicker.  Even with my small hands I can shoot it very well.  It's also one of the most accurate and soft shooting compact .45's I've ever fired and with 10+1 capacity it's a lot firepower in a relatively small package.
