I have a Glock 19 that I've owned for a few years and it's looking a little worn. I really don't want a spray on finish. I'd like to have the original finish redone. Any idea on what Glock charges for such a thing.....or if they even do it? |

From what I understand Glock is only refinishing slides with the spray and bake finishes now, some of the reviews I have heard from people that have sent their slides to Glock have not been favorable. They used to parkerize over the tenifer, however, they stoped doing that a few years ago and went with a spray and bake finish. No matter how worn the finish looks, it will not rust, the tenifer actually penetrates the metal a few thousandths of an inch. |
| It's $60.00 for the factory to refinish the slide and the barrel. If you send in the gun they will also change out the internals for free and anything else you want. Nightsights are $67.00 plus your state tax if you are interested in having that installed there as well. Free shipping back to you. Dont be afraid to call Glock Inc. They wont bite. |
I'm not worried about the pistol rusting but I'd like to renew the finish. If I wanted a spray on finish I'd just do it myself. I'd like the original finish. There's nothing wrong with the pistol but I'd like a new finish. |
