| If they sell complete uppers, buy the complete 40S&W or 357SIG upper and put it on your G17 frame. I don't see what the problem is. What they mean by converting the G17 into a 40 or 357 is that no one makes a barrel chambered in those calibers, that will fit in the G17 slide. If you are buying the complete upper, that doesn't matter. You may also have to change the ejector on your frame, if you change to the larger calibers. What you should have done, is buy a G22 or G31, and buy a conversion barrel to 9mm. Those they make. |

Kookie - Glockmeister no longer sells glock uppers. Up until about 6-8 months ago, however, one could buy any upper they wanted except for the subcompacts for some reason. I purchased a G17 upper for my G22 and it is great. Of course, the $8 ejector needs to be changed along with the slide (no big deal). You will note that Quarterbore is selling a Glock 22 upper over on Glocktalk.com for $275. He also has an ad in the ar15.com equipment exchange. You should contact him as he is only in Southeast Pennsylvania and buy the upper. |
