I decided to pass up buying a used Glock and go for a new one, I’m 19 and have decided to jump on the Glock bandwagon, from what I’ve heard you cant buy a better all-around pistol so I know it will be with me for life and always be reliable. Im only interested in Glock’s newest model. Now for my question. Im looking for a Glock model 21 chambered in .45, I came across one yesterday in a local pawn shop and the owner was asking $650 NIB, is this a good or bad deal? If not what is, thanks.

That's way too expensive for a "used" Glock-21 and I think you have to 21 to purchace hand guns.

I guess it depends what area of the country you're in but around here they go for $525-550.

I would suggest you quit shopping for guns at pawn shops and find a real gun shop because I suspect their prices will be better. Good luck.

The search engine will give you a fair understanding of pricing...

Recent Glock 21 sale

I purchaced several "pre-owned" Glocks and have had zero issue with them.  Unless price is not a concern for you.  Also, you are planning on waiting two years for the purchace I trust.

So over $600 is high for a model 21? No I'm not waiting 2 years, theres ways around the whole age thing, we have a bulletin board here that allows private citizens to sell guns to whom ever they please

From ATF's web-site

(B14) May a parent or guardian purchase firearms or ammunition as a gift for a juvenile (less than 18 years of age)? [Back]

Yes. However, possession of handguns by juveniles (less than 18 years of age) is generally unlawful. Juveniles generally may only receive and possess handguns with the writ-ten permission of a parent or guardian for limited purposes, e.g., employment, ranching, farming, target practice or hunting.

AFT FAQ site

I would be very very careful what you do with this handgun.....

Gary
