| Ok don't laugh at this one...but I use a Glock mini with a In the waste band holster...and when I sweat it gets on the gun alittle and If I sweated alot could possibly run down into the gun. Anyone else have this problem is it anything to really worry about? I haven't had through a Florida summer yet but can imagine it might become a problem. |

Keep the chamber clean and very lightly lubed...only the chamber, not the breech face, which would leave oil residue on the primer area of the chambered round...and check it fairly often in the summer months. I am aware of two cases where "big-boned" guys who, apparently, sweated a LOT and never checked their guns managed to get the chambers on Glocks to rust enough to prevent proper extraction of the chambered round when it was fired...both in FL. Otherwise, you will find that the slide catch can rust, also. Keep it reasonably well cared for and you will have no problems...even Glocks need routine maintenance! |
