Front site, find it, use it, fill the gaps with light around it.
Learn how to reset the trigger.
Learn how to NOT slap the trigger or pull it to hard.

You will find that most or your really poorly placed shots, like when you miss a steel plate or something, you will likely realize that you did not aquire the front site.

Don't shoot faster then you can make your hits, you will gain nothing.

Get a good grip, i.e a firm,  high grip. When you bring the gun up and line the sights up, stop breathing and start squeezing the trigger. As the shot breaks, continue looking over the sights.

It is important that you lock your wrist, that's usually accomplished by a firm grip, particularly with the heel of the hand.

Another thing, DO NOT lean back, it will make your shooting platform instable and amplify the recoil. Start with the target at 7 yards and move farther away when you get consistent 2" slowfire groups.

If you are off, buy a few snapcaps and mix them among life ammo and you will know what "the flinch" is.

Once you buy one, you will want to buy another one, and then another one.

Congrats on the new Glock and welcome to the club!

The trigger is going to take some getting used to. Take the slack out of the trigger, squeeze through the rest and learn the reset. Don't get discouraged if you don't get it right away. You're going to shoot low and to the left for some time. Just practice, practice and practice and you'll get it.

Congrats on the new Glock!! After about 8 years without one, I finally came back to my senses and picked up a glock last week (with another due in this week!).
