If I remember correctly, there were some quality control issues with the early third generation Glock 19's. What were these issues, and what were the serial numbers of the effected guns? Thanks in advance for any help.

There were some problems with some E serial # glocks and their frame rails.  It wasn't limited to 19's though.  There were also some feeding problems with some hp's that was rectified with different mag followers.

The G19 had issues with the 2183 magazine follower as well. The last round (or next to the last round) would nose dive causing a FTF. Swapping the follower over to a 9mm1 or 9mm3 solved the problem.

Ah ha!  So this was what it was.  And the E series G19.  Mystery solved.
