Can you change out the .40 to 357 in the subs?

I had my G22 for about a year and got my concealed permit.  Had a hard time concealing the G22 so I bought a G27 and so far its great.  Uses the same ammo and mags as the G22 so I can carry a spare G22 magazine.  I don't use the finger extensions and find that I don't really need them.  I just grip with the butt pushing into my palm and don't use my pinky at all.

I've put about 200 rounds through it so far the only problem is I'm getting trigger slap or something cause I started to get a blister on my trigger finger.

I've been using a 26 as a backup gun for years now.  Excellent pistol

G26 is a very nice little pistol.   I purchased mine the year they brought them out.  The gun is the only one I own that I can say I have NEVER had a single stoppage with.  Add the grip extensions and it feels like a full size gun.

To me the G26 is just about ideal for a carry gun.   Light, tough, reliable, no-snag, 10rd. , tritium sights, controllable, my wife can use it with ease, 17rds available with a mag swap, lots of holsters available, and roughly the same size as a .38 snub.

And yes .357 Sig is much more powerfull than the 9mm, but muzzle blast is also considerably greater in the shorter guns.   I have fired my g26 side by side with a guy shooting a compact Sig Saur in .357 Sig, I could shoot faster and more accurately with a lot less blast.    I doubt any persons of evil intent will be able to tell the difference between a chest full of .357 Sig or 9mm Speer Gold Dots, except with the 9mm  I can put more holes, closer to CoM, and faster.

Yes, just a barrel swap(I went with the mags too,  just to keep ammo separate).

Here's my 2 cents . . .

Seems that I carry my G-19 more and more.  Night sights, nothing else added other than 15 rounds of Golden Saber 124+P HP's stuffed in the mag.   Shoots like a dream and the Wifey and teenage son like it too.

Bought a G-26 about a year ago.  Man-o-man  ! !    Talk about a pocket rocket  !     Same ammo and will add night sights.  Will be used as my summer CCW.

Remember:  shot placement, shot placement, shot placement.

These two Glocks will be going with me when I attend John Farnam's Defensive Pistol Class in mid-May.

I'll report back . . . . .

by the way . . .  both pistols have been thur a minimum of 2,000 rounds each.  About half of that was the nasty steel-cased Ruskie ammo.   ZERO problems  ! !

I carry a G26 9mm with Winchester Ranger T 127gr +P+. I haven't chronoed it yet, but I have seen reports of +/- 1300 FPS from a G17. I would imagine from a G26 they're running just a little less than that. A similar 125gr load in .357 SIG runs about 1350 FPS. I had thought about going .357 SIG but a performance increase of 50 FPS with the same bullet really didn't seem worth it. Also the increased price in ammo.

I have tried to jam my G26 with no success. Follow-up shots are quick and recoil is mild. There is suprisingly no snappy recoil like you would associate with a small 9mm pistol. Actually my full size CZ-75 (9mm) has more snap to it than the G26. I got my G26 used and it came with the 10rd magazines with Pierce +0 mag extension. The Pierce extension does make quite a difference atleat for me.

The G26 is a great pistol.

I'm still deciding whether or not I should trade it for a G19/G17 though, since I can't CCW yet.  FOr CCW it can't be beat.

Very reliable, accurate, controllable.

BTW, I have made my G26 jam before.  Of course I had to put my palm behind the slide then fire, but still.  I made it jam.
